ABOUT US

The Centre of Sociological, Political and Psychological Analysis and Investigations CIVIS is a non-governmental research centre, founded in March 1997. CIVIS was registered at Ministry of Justice at April 24th, 1997 under the number 0022.

The studies performed up to this moment have been mostly based on sociological methods. At the same time, CIVIS Centre has performed mass informative and social mobilization campaigns.
Most of the surveys performed by CIVIS are based on probabilistic, multi-level representative samples a t the national level. CIVIS has also conducted surveys based on local and district samples.
The qualitative methods used by CIVIS include focus groups and in-depth interviews.
CIVIS staffs (sociologists, political scientists) are specialists with a large experience in the field of inter-disciplinary research. Additional to this staff,

CIVIS has a national network comprising over 100 well-trained field-operators with large experience in interviewing different categories of the population (including ethnic groups).
Centre CIVIS has necessary technical equipment and technologies in order to perform complex sociological researches (equipment: computers Pentium 3 and 4, multifunctional centre, record equipment etc.; software: processing programs of statistic data, programs for graphical presentation: SPSS, Excel, Power Point, Word.
